Apimondia International Apicultural Congress

One of our main objectives is to facilitate the exchange of information and discussions by organizing Congresses and Symposia, where beekeepers, scientists, honey-traders, agents for development, technicians and authorities meet to listen, discuss and learn from one another.

The 50th Apimondia Congress will be held in Dubai in 2027.

Apimondia Symposia

Apimondia symposia bring together researchers, beekeepers, industry specialists and policymakers to address current challenges and opportunities in apiculture. These events serve as focused platforms for presenting scientific findings, discussing emerging trends and sharing practical knowledge that supports the global beekeeping community.

Each symposium is organised in cooperation with local partners and highlights topics of regional and international relevance — from bee health, pollination and sustainable management to innovation, development programmes and sector policy. In addition to scientific contributions, symposia often include workshops, field visits and opportunities for professional exchange.

World Bee Day

World Bee Day, celebrated each year on 20 May, highlights the essential role of bees and other pollinators in ensuring food security, maintaining biodiversity and supporting healthy ecosystems. Established on the initiative of Slovenia and adopted by the United Nations, it provides an important opportunity to draw attention to the challenges pollinators face worldwide — from habitat loss and climate change to unsustainable agricultural practices.

The day serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, strengthening cooperation and promoting practical measures that support beekeepers and protect pollinator populations. Learn more about the origins of World Bee Day, its global significance and the activities organised around the world.
